 News & EventsRECENT EVENTS: 75th Anniversary Gala Clothing Auction – Jazz quartet, culinary delights, and special guest mime Mark Jaster entertained the guests. 100% of clothing auction proceeds for benefit of William & Henry Evans Home for Children located in Winchester. (75th Anniversary Gala photos) Douglas Alumni Association benefit – Douglas High School served this community from 1927 until desegregation occurred in 1966. Bell’s connection dates back to 1947 when Mr. Shendow sponsored the Douglas football team. This catered event highlighted the best in fashion for a worthy cause. (Douglas football team photo (Douglas Football team photo circa 1947) Gently worn suit benefit – donate “the one that shrunk in the closet” receive a $100 towards any new garment. Bell’s then dry cleaned the donations, stored them until beneficiaries – Evan’s Home for Children or Edge Hill had need, altered to fit recipient, and then donated in the name of the donor. This is an on going program. Highlights included the new offerings from Italian mainstays: Zanella, Canali, Gran Sasso, Ripabianca….Event catered by Violino Restorante. Benefit for the Discovery Museum of Winchester – Highlighted our latest finds in a Search that has taken us from New York to Florence within the past year.: This catered event showcased the best in American and Italian Clothing.
